What do I need to get started?
Does the GAIM system include a Meta Quest headset?
The system includes great hardware, amazing software and never-ending hunting experiences!
The one thing not included is the Meta Quest headset, but you can easily find one at any larger electronics store of your choice.
What VR headset should I buy?
GAIM is compatible with Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S.
It is sold with 128 GB or more memory. GAIM takes about 2 GB memory.
Where can I find my license key?
Your license key is available in myGAIM. If you have not created a myGAIM account, you can easily create one at the top of the page.
Can I order scenarios without owning a GAIM shooting simulator?
You need a GAIM shooting simulator to be able to use the scenarios. Once you own a simulator you can add more scenarios.
How do I purchase more scenarios and activate them in my system?
Buy more scenarios in our webshop. After purchase you will receive an Activation code via email.
Redeem the code in your myGAIM account and add it to your existing license key.
If you wish to give a GAIM scenario to another GAIMer, send them the activation code instead.
When you have activated the code, please restart your headset. Now you should have access to your new software.
Can I purchase a scenario or simulator for a friend?
You sure can!

After purchase, you will receive an Activation code via email. To be able to access the license key, the person receiving the gift needs to create a myGAIM account.
Then they can activate the purchase with the Activation code that you received after the purchase.
What countries do you deliver to?
GAIM is currently available in Europe, USA and Canada.
What payment options do you offer?
The options can be different depending on what country you order from.
We have debit/credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay and Klarna.
Can I transfer my license to a new owner or a new account?
Yes, on request. The new owner creates a myGAIM account, then you email info@gaim.com the address of that account together with the email used at purchase, and we move the license key across.
Returns
What is your return policy?
If you for any reason would like to return your GAIM system, you have the right to return the product in unused condition up to 14 days after receiving your product without any reason.
If you would like us to send you a return shipping label within the EU, please contact us at info@gaim.com.
If you live in North America, contact gaiminc@gaim.com.
How do I make a return?
You can find our return form with more information among the files on our support page.
Make sure you follow the instructions for EU or US.
We only accept returns for packages with hardware, not standalone software.
Hunting and Shooting
How do I play multiplayer?
*Note: both users need a GAIM shooting simulator and the scenario you intend to use.
You can see which scenarios support multiplayer in the scenario description.
Multiplayer is then done in three easy steps: 1. Host a game in the multiplayer section. You will receive a four-letter code.
2. Ask your hunting buddy to join your session using the code. The scenario will become available when your friend joins the session.
3. You can now talk via the headset.

How is the score calculated in GAIM Range?
GAIM Range uses an IPSC standard of scoring.
Paper targets have three scoring zones: 1 point, 3 points, and 5 points, and we count two hits per paper target. Steel targets give 5 points and you only hit them once.
No hit gives -5 points. Your final score is a Hit Factor. It is calculated by total points divided by total time for all shots.
The higher the Hit Factor, the better. Many points in a short time is better than the opposite.
How is the score calculated in GAIM hunting?
General rule is that a killing shot generates 1000p.
Any injuring shot deducts 100p.
Breaking any safety rule deducts 250p.
All points are multiplied by your accuracy which in turn is calculated by dividing killing shots with total shots.
These points should encourage good decisions of not taking too difficult or dangerous shots.
More practice equals better shooting skills and higher score!
What are the ballistics used in GAIM?
We have used the data of a standard 308w cartridge in our rifle calculations.
Weight 11,7 grams.
Speed 800 m/s.
The calculations for shotgun are based on US6 with 411 m/s exit speed and a 1/4 choke.
For the handgun we have used the ballistics for a 9mm bullet weighing 8 grams (124 grain) with an exit speed of 360 m/s or 1180 ft/sec.

Technical and Setup
Do I need WIFI?
Yes. You need an active internet connection to acvitate the license in your headset.
How do I connect the Trigger Gen 2?
1. Put the battery in the trigger unit.
2. The LED button will blink several colors. Press the LED light button for 3 seconds until it blinks red for 1 second followed by a yellow blinking light. This means the trigger is reset and ready to pair again.
3. The LED light should blink yellow indicating that the trigger is actively searching for a connection.
4. In the headset go to Settings // Devices // Bluetooth pairing. If the GAIM Controller is visible but listed as Previously Paired, you need to forget this device. Then exit the menu and enter it again.
5. Pair with the GAIM Controller.
6. When connected, the trigger will blink green at every shot.
Where do I find the GAIM software in the headset?
The GAIM Software is found among all other Apps and is downloaded from Meta Quest App store.
Can I stream GAIM on a TV or computer screen?
You sure can!
Use Chromecast when casting from the headset to the selected screen.
A perfect way to share the experience!
You can also view it in a browser, or a smartphone or tablet with the Meta Horizon app.

How do I know if I'm on the latest GAIM software version?
Sign up to our newsletter!
As a subscriber to our newsletter, you can be sure that you are up to date!
The system itself will also notify you if there is an update to the GAIM app available.
Do I need a Facebook account?
You need a Meta account, which you create in the Meta app, to download the GAIM app.

I haven't received my activation code
Check your inbox and spam folder: the code is in the order confirmation email.
If it isn't there, email info@gaim.com (North America: gaiminc@gaim.com) with the name and email address used at purchase so we can find your account.
My code doesn't work.
Connect the headset to Wi-Fi before entering it.
If it still fails, send us an email at info@gaim.com with the error message you see and the name and email used at purchase.
I bought an extra scenario and it doesn't show.
Restart your headset. If it still doesn't appear, clear the cache for GAIM and open it again. If that also fails send us an email at info@gaim.com
